Don't Miss this Amazing Story!
A Dream Come True
Discover how investing in women in rural communities has a far-reaching impact on individual women, children, the environment, and society, creating a more sustainable world!
Women are trained to turn waste materials into products they can sell: Fabric waste into fashion, cocoa pod husks into skin care products, bamboo and wood into crafts and furniture.
Join in a conversation with TTN Boston chapter member Susan Galer (one of our favorite and fascinating speakers) and Tony Joy, founder and director of Durian, a Nigerian-based social enterprise thats proving women in rural communities are cool and creative!
Durian trains women in rural Nigerian communities to become self-sufficient, turning local waste into sustainable livelihoods Susan has been providing pro bono consulting to Tony as part of SAP's Acceleterated Collective program supporting sustainability.
You'll learn how Tony has realized her dream of becoming a social entrepreneur, paying it forward to help women build a circular economy while earning fair wages so they can support their families. Hear her amazing story!
Plenty of time for Q&A.
