NNJ (P) - The Morgan Library & Museum - In person tour (11:15am ET)

This is a small group, in-person event for Northern NJ members. We will enjoy a guided “Highlights” tour which will provide an overview of the Morgan’s history, architecture, historic buildings, and collections. Afterwards, we can wander through the special exhibitions on our own. Lunch to follow for those who wish.

Due to the limited number of attendees allowed, we respectfully ask that other chapters NOT sign up for this.

The Morgan Library and Museum is one of New York’s great historic sites and an exhibition venue for fine art, literature, and music. It began as the personal library of financier, collector, and cultural benefactor Pierpont Morgan, who began collecting ancient manuscripts, first editions, old prints and masters as early as 1880.

For those who’ve read “The Personal Librarian”, of equal interest is his personal librarian Belle Da Costa Greene who helped assemble his collection and then served as head librarian for The Morgan for 43 years.
