WHY YOUR TIME AND DONATIONS MEAN SO MUCH!

Cradles to Crayons
The Boston Chapter has been a long time supporter of Cradles to Crayons, volunteering directly in their Giving Factory, hosting internal clothing drives and providing financial support.
Christopher Harvell, Senior Manager of Operational Initiatives, will share with us more about what they do and the impact on families they service.

Haley House
Our chapter has more recently begun providing support to Haley House. For over 50 years, HH has continued to offer hospitality and 'food with a purpose' through a wide variety of programs that include a soup kitchen, elder meals, occupational training and urban farming.
Reggie Jean, Executive Director and Anna Pierce-Slive, Farm Manager will tell us more about this "feisty" non-profit that offers bold and innovative solutions to the community food and housing needs.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cradles to Crayon's mission is to provide children from birth through age 12, living in homeless or low-income situations, with the essential items they need to thrive - at home, at school and at play.  They supply these items free of charge by engaging and connecting communities. The vision is that one day every child will have the essentials they need to feel safe, warm, ready to learn and valued.

Haley House: Since 2015, Haley House has been operating an urban farm in the Highland Park neighborhood of Roxbury.  The farm strives to create practical and life-giving practices which allow the community to grow accessible, affordable, nutrient-dense, flavorful, and beautiful food.  Feeding people and encouraging healthy lifestyles have been central to the HH mission and its belief in the power of community to break down barriers and build strong and inclusive neighborhoods.
