NYC (V) – Travel -- Hit the Road Again Jane!

Thursday, May 19, 2022, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM

TTN-NYC’s FAMOUS “THIRD THURSDAY” MONTHLY PROGRAMS RETURN! – Starting with this Travel Special!

At long last! We can travel once more!

Underlining how enthusiastic TTN women are to get going again, we will begin the program with members of TTN-NYC's lively new travel Special Interest Group -- Travel Mates. They will talk about the formation of the SIG, how to join, plans for regular meetings going forward, travel plans themselves -- and some of the up-to-date considerations we should be thinking about in this almost post-pandemic era.
Our special presenter is Molly Goodrich, a travel expert closely associated with the well-known and highly esteemed Road Scholar organization. She will talk about the history and purpose of RS, and the breadth of their some 5500 tours, including local ones organized here in NYC, and of course, domestically and internationally. She will also describe the availability of customized programs they have created for family and other groups -- including one for TTNers to Cuba!

Molly will be happy to answer questions on the Zoom call, but you may also email questions ahead of time to Sally Dougan, to be sure that they are covered if there is time.

We plan to break out into small discussion groups after Molly's talk for comments and to share wisdom and experiences. And then will return to finish up the presentation.

So, get your exploring shoes on and join this merry program –
Hit The Road Again, Jane!

YOUR PRESENTER: Molly Goodrich

Molly Goodrich (MFA, Syracuse University) came to New York in 1984 seeking fame and fortune as an art dealer -- but after a modicum of success, she found her calling in curating New York City experiences rather than art exhibitions.

She has had the opportunity to do this on her own and through her relationship with Road Scholar, the leading organization in the field of educational adventures, since 1998. Since she is now semi-retired, she now has a greater opportunity to fulfill her own quest for travel!
