TTN Chicago invites you to a Private Tour of Prairie Avenue & Dinner After
Tour begins at 3 p.m. Fee: $35

In the Late 19th century, Prairie Avenue was the most exclusive street in Chicago. Nearly 90 mansions
lined the 6 blocks from 16th to 22nd streets, including homes of the city's wealthiest citizens-
department store owner Marshall Field, meat packer Philip D. Amour &d sleeping car manufacturer
George M. Pullman.

This tour will explore over two centuries of history - from the Battle of Fort Dearborn in 1812 through
the neighborhood's recent transformation into what is once again one of the most fashionable &
desirable neighborhoods in Chicago. William Tyre, author of Chicago's Historic Prairie Avenue, will
lead this private 2-hour walking tour, which includes a look at the surviving historic mansions,
historic photos of homes that have been lost, and an interior tour of the National Historic Landmark
Second Presbyterian Church with its extraordinary Arts & Craft sanctuary & Tiffany windows.
Tour begins at 3 p.m.

Dinner after Tour @5pm: Outside patio of the lovely café, Spoke & Bird. Tables are open-seating
in the cafe's park. Best to order in advance given the number of us that will be attending.

Tour limited to 15. All ticket sales are final, Rain or Shine. When registering, please use the
