LI(V) CRT: what it is and what it isn't! (4 pm ET)

Presented by Dr. Robin Small, Principal of Valley Stream North High School, critical race theory is a movement that analyzes race, racism, and power, through its core principle that racism is not an aberration but rather a fundamental way of organizing society. It is prevalent, institutional, and systemic. Critical race theory is a way of looking at race relations, particularly within the United States, in a broader context than the traditional civil rights approach, defining race as a social construct acting to divide people in society.
