Volunteers will sort bulk produce items into smaller bags, package food items into bags, and hand off bags to volunteer drivers. Volunteering in this way helps provide nutritious and fresh food to isolated, vulnerable, and underserved families in the Philadelphia area.  Please arrive 10 to 15 minutes early. 

Jewish Family and Children’s Services (JFCS) is one of the oldest and largest human service agencies in the United States.  They serve people of all faiths and backgrounds and are a leader in research and  development of innovative human services.

The JFCS building has a parking lot and can be reached at either Montgomery Avenue or off of Parsons Avenue.   Bus 44, from center city, drops off close to the facility - please verify drop off location before taking the bus. When entering the building, enter through the doors at the TOP of the parking lot where you will be met by our security guard, sign in, and be escorted to the Teaching Kitchen to volunteer.

Masks are optional.

If you are a member and cancel your registration before the specified deadline, you will receive a full refund as a credit to your account. You can use the credit to pay for another event or put it toward your annual dues payment. Non-members will receive a refund on their credit card, minus a $4 processing fee.
