PHL (P) - Our Closet in Your Neighborhood (3/16/23, 11AM EST)

Come join your fellow TTN members and help those in need at a pop-up clothing shop called "Our Closet in Your Neighborhood," sponsored by the Jewish Family and Children's Service organization. Volunteers will help organize clothes and interact with shoppers, informing them of the number of items they can take for the day, and helping them find their size or style preferences.

Our Closet In Your Neighborhood (OCIYN) is a JFCS program that provides clothing and food to people in need. The program travels around the city to pop-up venues in underserved areas including churches, synagogues, hospitals, libraries or community centers. The clothing items are provided with dignity and respect in a warm and welcoming environment.

Jewish Family and Children’s Services (JFCS) is one of the oldest and largest human service agencies in the United States.  They serve people of all faiths and backgrounds and are a leader in research and  development of innovative human services.

If interested in carpooling from center city, please contact Madeline Sherry and let her know if you can drive or would like to be a passenger.  We’ll meet at 10:30 a.m. at a location TBA in a future email.

There is free street parking at this location and the best place to park is on E Street closest to the Playground. To get into the building from E Street, you would follow the path past the Playground towards an enclosed area which will have the JFCS van, once you see the van, follow the path and veer towards the right to find the front doors of the Library – which looks like Museum steps. The JFCS team will greet you inside and provide instructions for the day
