BOS (V) Antisemitism-What's Happening to Our Country?

WHAT'S HAPPENING TO OUR COUNTRY?

June 9, 2023
5-6:15 pm EST

There has been a frightening rise in Antisemitic Incidents over the last few years!

Why is this happening?  What is the history? What can we do about it?

2022 saw the highest number of incidents of harassment, vandalism, and assault ever, a 36% increase over the prior year.   These surges occurred in all 50 states.  The number of bomb threats toward Jewish institutions, including schools and synagogues, spiked from 6 to 91, the highest number since 2017, according to ADL's annual audit.

During this session, we will hear about current trends, some of the history that got us here, and the prejudices and tropes that have resulted in recent violent incidents.  We will explore strategies we can employ in difficult situations and spend the remaining time in Q&A discussion.

Don't miss this important session.
