For the first time through an agreement with Sage-ing International, the TTN MSP Chapter is offering TTN members from all chapters the opportunity to participate in the four session: Awakening the Sage Within Workshop. Sage-ing International, a 501c3 organization, is about aging consciously through life’s transitions and challenges in community with like-minded older adults. The Sage-ing view is one of aging as a spiritual practice that can elicit joy and contentment, positively benefiting our families and the communities and cultures we serve.

The Program:
Sage-ing is a model for engaging more deliberately, more joyfully, and more compassionately as we grow older.

Together we will create a warm and safe space to share experiences and thoughts on some of the following topics, based on the ground-breaking book: From Age-ing to Sage-ing: A Profound New Vision of Growing Older by Rabbi Zalman Schachter-Shalomi.

Exploring what it means to age
Facing one's mortality
Reframing disempowering beliefs Preparing to leave a non-material legacy
Considering the role of elders in service to family and community
Understanding wisdom from life review and forgiveness
Harvesting wisdom from life experiences

As we “sage,” we learn how to “…transform the downward arc of aging into the upward arc of expanded consciousness that crowns an elder’s life with meaning and purpose.” (P. 6)

Online Certified Sage-ing Leader (CSL) Karen West

Facilitator, has been a seeker and an educator all her life. She spent her work life first as an English teacher and then as a career counselor. In 2007 Karen completed her training as a Spiritual Director; then after retiring in 2012 she was certified as a Sage-ing Leader and as a Legacy Facilitator. Conscious Aging and Sage-ing have become her passion.

Workshop Fee $75

Includes all four interactive online workshops and materials provided to you via email. Each individual participates through a separate webcam-equipped digital device with internet capability (computer, tablet, smartphone).

If you are a member and cancel your registration before the specified deadline, you will receive a full refund as a credit to your account. You can use the credit to pay for another event or put it toward your annual dues payment. Non-members will receive a refund on their credit card, minus a $4 processing fee.
