Multi-media events at the Rose Art Museum within Brandeis University

This exhibit by Indigenous Mexican artist Noé Martínez attempts to locate traces of his ancestors’ lives within his own body, transforming art into both ritual and memorial. "The Body Remembers" is a multi-media installation consisting of life-size, collaged drawings of bodies that wrap the gallery's walls, embracing a circle of clay figurative vessels fashioned in the style of pre-Hispanic art.

This 2017 Mexican drama chronicles the efforts of a young linguist to document and preserve a disappearing indigenous language. This "beautiful poetic film raises philosophical questions about what is lost when a language is allowed to fade.
