Wild Worlds of Lorraine Grady at Davis Art Museum
Lorraine O'Grady was born in Roxbury and graduated from Wellesley College in 1955. O'Grady sheds "light on the ways Blackness has always existed at the heart of Western modernism." She works across plenty of media, including video and photography. The Boston Globe wrote, "O'Grady , now 89, has always had something critical to say about the perils of retreating into one's corner; in a fractious year, there's an eerie resonance."
