Are you or your parents “rightsizing” to smaller quarters? Are family members heading for the hills at the thought of absorbing all this stuff? Or are you simply preparing for a someday move?
In this interactive workshop, Pat Snyder will help you turn this dreaded exercise into a life-changing one as you discover how to pass down the treasures in those packing boxes as family stories whether in person, in writing, through recording, pictures or labels.
You’ll also learn to spot which of your own treasures signify important goals and values you’ll want to keep front and center in your heart as you travel into your own next phase.
Participants will bring a treasure – or picture of one – and share with others what it means to them and why they’ll want to keep it or its story always.
Pat Snyder is a believer in the power of storytelling to navigate life transitions. A long-time humor columnist and coach, she has shared many of her own stories in her book Best of Balancing Act: Quick Reads for Crazy Times. She invites others to tell their rightsizing tales in her newsletter Unpacking Your Stories.
