Please join us for this Solo Together Peer Group meeting. We are still welcoming new members to the group but will close the group after this meeting.

At this meeting, we will randomly break into two groups to better facilitate discussion. Each group will have a discussion leader.

The topic for discussion on April 28 will be the opportunities to live a self sufficient solo journey with confidence and self satisfaction.

Please plan to arrive on time and allow time for parking. We will be allowed to enter the room at 10:30 am and will begin immediately. After the meeting, we will walk over to one of the many restaurants in the area. We will share the restaurant selection with those who register.

You must register so we know to expect you.

The meetings will be held at the Rockville Memorial Library, 21 Maryland Avenue, Rockville, MD 20850 in meeting room 2 on the second level. See below for information about parking and Metro accessibility.

_____________

By Metro Red Line

Rockville is the closest Metro Station. The library is within three blocks of the Metro and the entrance is on the Rockville Town Square.

Parking

Parking is available at street meters or in the Rockville Town Square garages. Library customers can get 2 hours of free parking when they park in one of the Rockville Town Square garages, which are clearly labeled Garage A (letter A in green - accessible from Maryland Avenue entrance near Beall Avenue and from Hungerford Drive), Garage B (letter B in blue - accessible from the driveway between Gold's Gym and Pandora), and Garage C. Please note that there are two garages accessible from the driveway between Gold's Gym and Pandora. The first garage to the left after driving between the buildings does not have free parking. Please continue past the first parking entrance on the left and down the hill under the blue sign that says Garage B.

TTN members are welcome to participate in more than one peer group as a given time if they choose to do so.

More About Peer Groups

If this group isn't a match for you, the chapter offers other groups  and welcomes those willing to lead new groups. Contact us at PeerGroups@DC-ttnwomen.org to express your interest.

Transition peer groups are informal, shared leadership groups composed of 8 -12 TTN members who meet every month to engage in informal discussions. These groups provide a safe and supportive environment where women may have thought-provoking and stimulating conversations relating to career or personal transitions.

Groups generate topics of mutual interest and relevance to their current lives. Discussion topics range from light-hearted and fun to others that help members define and think through their futures. Each group works to find a comfortable way to select topics and share the responsibilities that make a shared leadership group run smoothly. Every group has an experienced TTN partner to help them during the initial meetings or at any point where they feel they need re-direction.

Transition peer groups provide opportunities for connection, new friendships, and mutually supportive exploration. The intention of these groups is for women to share and learn from each other.

Transition Peer Groups are a benefit of TTN membership.
