CHI (V) - PROTECT YOURSELF ONLINE: 5 Critical Steps (6:30pm ET)

CHI-ProtectYourselfWorkshop
Every day, new stories proliferate about data breaches, internet scams, and stolen identities. Protecting your privacy provides you with greater control over your professional prospects, your personal profile, and your finances, yet the process can seem overwhelming and overly technical. Women are particularly vulnerable from a financial perspective, because statistically, we live longer than men and earn less.

During the course of her career in corporate investigations, Michelle Risley has seen firsthand how much more likely women are than men to share personal information online. She will share stories from her career on how information that seems innocent enough—like wishing someone a happy birthday online and posting family photos—can become "intelligence" when viewed by an outside eye.

But don't despair. In this 90-minute program, Michelle will provide attendees tips on how to recognize long-standing scams that have become more sophisticated (like phishing and website spoofing) and newer ones (such as pig butchering and the iPhone passcode scam). You will learn the steps you can take, over the course of only one week, to better protect yourself online, tackling one task a day. And there will be plenty of time for Michelle to answer your questions!

Join us for this eye-opening and resource-rich program!

Join us on Thursday, June 13, 6:30-8:00pm Eastern Time (5:30-7:00pm Central) over Zoom.

Please note: This presentation will NOT be recorded, and slides will NOT be available. However, Michelle will provide a handout to all attendees, including the main points she discussed and tools, products, and resources she recommends.
