Curiosity Killed the Cat: Not on My Watch!

Curiosity is the urge you feel to know more about something -- inquisitive, wondering, ready to poke around and figure something out. As spring approaches, I’d like to take you on a journey to explore, and perhaps spark your curiosity.

I’ve invited a guest contributor to join this newsletter in ‘Sparking My Curiosity’. Who is it? Like the Curiosity Explorer on Mars, you may see new and wondrous things. Even more curious, then check out Nancy Gold’s  ‘Eight Little Thoughts’.  Many writers, explorers and scientists say their own curiosity led them to breakthroughs. In ‘Curiosity Quotes’ you will find a few. Sally Dougan tells us about things we might have missed in ‘In Case You Missed It’ and finally, see where curiosity led Three TTNers in Travels with Purpose and Passion.

Enjoy!

Sparking My Curiosity
By Guest Contributor & Karen Buros, 7 Year Member
Curiosity knows no age limits, and we continue to cultivate our inquisitive spirit. Here are some ways to embrace curiosity and keep the flame burning:

Read Widely and Follow Your Interests: Take inspiration from John Lloyd, the creator of the beloved BBC quiz show QI. When faced with failures, he turned to reading voraciously, exploring topics from Socrates to quantum physics. Follow your curiosity wherever it leads you. When you encounter something interesting, dive deep and learn more.

In Case You Missed It
By Sally Dougan,  19 Year Member

It decided one day in early-March that it should be Spring, and so everything bloomed about the same day. The next week it decided that it should be February again, so temps dropped to 25 degrees at night! Whoa. Talk about survival of the fittest this time around. Happily, TTNers survived well and enjoyed a number of events along the way – including Grandmothers’ Circle; Everything You, and They, Should Know Before You Go; a CC Member Mingle; Women In Transition; a Spring Mingle; Caring Collaborative Orientation, and  African American Art.

Travels with Purpose and Passion

One last story to help inspire your curiosity. Take a journey to see where three TTN'ers curiosity about Wildlife, Art and Life-Long-Learning led them.
