Come join your TTN friends for a series of classes of Tai Chi and Qigong.
Taichi: This gentle form of exercise can help maintain strength, flexibility, and balance, and could be the perfect activity for the rest of your life.
Tai chi differs from other types of exercise in several respects. The movements are
usually circular and never forced, the muscles are relaxed rather than tensed, the joints are not fully extended or bent, and connective tissues are not stretched.
Qigong : Qi is real! Qi translated from Chinese means energy, it's not mystic or new age, it's you, and through practice, you can increase your qi to improve health and wellness in your life.
Our 10 classes will include
Preparing the mind and body - 5 min
8 patterns (Brocades) Qigong practice approx.- 25 min
Tai Chi practice approx.- 30 min
Closing by bringing focus back to stillness.
Each practice we will advance to include more of the movements of the 8 patterns, so by week 10, we will have the complete pattern.
Note: since all sessions will be recorded, don’t worry if you can’t make all the sessions. You can always watch the recording and catch up.
