Private Tour of Pullman National Historic Park
Sunday, October 22nd, 10:00 am
This tour will explore the Town of Pullman on Chicago’s far south side. The town included the massive factory for the Pullman Palace Car Company, along with housing for its workers, a hotel, shopping arcade, church, and more. It was designated a National Monument by President Barack Obama in 2015, and is now operated as the Pullman National Historical Park by the National Park Service. Our tour will include a walking tour of the neighborhood, interior visits to several sites, a chance to view the exhibits in the Visitors Center (in the former administration building of the factory), and lunch in a restored privately-owned manager’s house.
The tour is $50.00 per person and includes lunch. During check out, please indicate your sandwich option for lunch:
- Avo Turkey – turkey, Swiss cheese, and avocado
- Chicken Club – Grilled chicken, bacon, and cheddar
- Mediterranean (vegetarian) – artichoke hearts, roasted red peppers, cucumbers, and spicy hummus
