Political conversations are challenging these days. People on both sides, but especially The Other Side, are speaking emotionally, not listening to reason!  How would you like to be the calm voice that can turn talking (yelling?) into real communicating?

TTN is joining with Braver Angels to explore "Depolarizing Within".  Braver Angels (BraverAngels.org) is a national movement to bridge the partisan divide.  The free Depolarizing Within workshop is designed to foster skills to help you lessen the effects of polarization when you encounter them in your political conversations.

Goals of the workshop:

• How to be more aware of your own "inner polarizer"
  
• How to be critical without demonizing, dismissing or stereotyping large swaths of the population
• Strategies for intervening constructively in social conversations with like-minded peers when these conversations veer into contempt and ridicule for people who hold other political views
  

There are two parts this TTN event.  Ideally do both, but if you can only do one or the other, that works too.

One time only, take a Braver Angel's online Depolarizing Within workshop.  It is offered multiple times over the next few weeks.  This is a free, moderator-led, interactive 3-hour Zoom event.  Pick the date that works best for you, then click on the link for more information and to register on the Braver Angels website.
