About this event
The presenter for our November TTN meeting will be Suzanne McKiernan, Dementia Friendly Billings Coordinator, Big Sky Senior Services.
The Caring Collaborative Committee will also give a short presentation on their plans to start a group for the Billings TTN Chapter.
Light snack and water will be provided. Guests are welcome!
Event will be held at the
Billings Library Community Room.
Suzanne will share the definition of dementia, the types of dementia, communication skills and answer the question “Is it Aging or Is It Dementia”? She will also discuss Memory Café, which is held monthly at the library. This is an opportunity for socialization in an understanding and accepting environment for those with early dementia or memory loss and their care partner. TTN member Denise Armstrong was instrumental in getting Dementia Friendly Billings off the ground as the former Executive Director of Big Sky Senior Services.
