Are you or someone you know looking to share a little holiday joy this season with a lonely or isolated older Minnesotan?
If so, we’ve found the perfect opportunity for TTN members to share a bit of holiday time creating holiday cards as a group for clients of Friends & Co. It's easy! No envelopes are required!
This program encourages participants to craft heartfelt holiday cards filled with warm wishes and thoughtful non-denominational messages. Each card becomes a beacon of light, promising to brighten the day of its recipient. Friends & Co believes that this simple yet powerful gesture can serve as a powerful reminder that they are not forgotten, and that there are people who care.
Join us on November 27 at 10:00 am-2:00pm at the address shown below. We have a conference room reserved for our group. Food and drinks are allowed in the conference room, so bring a snack or lunch. Jethra Kapp, Director of Program Development for Friends & Co will join us at 10am for a welcome and brief overview of the non-profit organization.
Please bring your crafting supplies. Scissors, glue, paper, old Christmas cards, markers, colored pencils and stickers, anything you have that you can share with others would be great. No envelopes are required. Friends & Co will be distributing the cards.
If you are unable to join us on the 27th, but this sounds like something you would like to participate in, you can do it virtually and just send your finished cards to Friends & Co. Ask Barb or Donna how to go about participating.
