DC (P) Volunteer to Pack Fruits and Vegetables in Derwood

About this event

Join a team of TTN women at the Community FarmShare Hub to help pack fruits and vegetables grown on local small-scale farms for those lacking access to healthy foods. The bags we (and other volunteers) pack will be distributed to more than 500 families.

We will stand for the entire shift, so wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes. We recommend you bring a water bottle and feel free to bring a light snack. Packing takes place partially outdoors but shaded, so dress for the weather. There is a porta-potty on site.
