Join us for an afternoon of good food and a tour of the home and description of the life of Columbus’s own James Thurber, one of the most celebrated American writers of the 20th century. We will meet at the Columbus Museum of Art's Schokko Café for a leisurely lunch at 11:30 A.M. and then make our way over to Thurber House for our 1:00 PM tour, which is a 1-minute drive or 7-minute walk from the museum.
Lunch at the museum will entitle us to free parking if we get our parking lot entry tickets stamped when we buy our lunch at the Café. There is no longer parking in the back at Thurber House, but there is plenty of non-metered parking in the front on Jefferson Avenue.
