DC (V) - TED Talk "Can democracy still work? " (7 pm ET)

About this event

Jenn White’s riveting talk shows us how authoritarianism threatens the space for possibility and course correction that democratic institutions create. An award-winning journalist and podcast host, Jenn White has worked in public radio since 1999. White hosts "1A," a nationally syndicated daily news program from WAMU and NPR. "1A" is NPR's fastest-growing weekday show. It's carried on more than 460 stations around the country and reaches at least 4.5 million listeners weekly. Jenn previously hosted WBEZ's local two-hour midday show, "Reset." Jenn White is also skilled as a public speaker and has moderated numerous on-air gubernatorial and mayoral debates. She is a native of Detroit and graduate of the University of Michigan.

After the talk, we'll have a social discussion of what we heard and the resonance it has in our lives.
