These are difficult and challenging times for women. And now, more than ever, women have important things to say about their own lives, their rights, and the state of the world. It can be intimidating to speak up, especially when others have shouted you down in the past. This talk will give you tips on how to stand your ground with authority and solid confidence so you will be heard. You will also learn to identify those subtle tricks that are sometimes used to intimidate women as well as appropriate and effective responses. There will be time for Q&A.
Louise Cloutier: Since 1981, Louise has been coaching courageous women to speak up, in the boardroom, the bedroom and everywhere they go. Through her company, Women's PowerVoice, Louise offers a variety of workshops on topics such as Boundaries with Bullies, Body Shaming, Salary Negotiations and Medical Misogyny. Louise is currently writing a book on feminist negotiations, "Getting What You Want, Even in a Sexist World".
