Join us for an interesting discussion with Linda Kass. She is the author of three historical fiction novels and the founder and owner of Gramercy Books in Bexley, Ohio.
For her most recent novel, Bessie (2023), Kass drew on biographical and historical sources to reimagine the early life of Bess Myerson, the talented daughter of poor Russian Jewish immigrants, who remarkably rises to become Miss America. Her earlier novels, Tasa’s Song (2016) and A Ritchie Boy (2020), were inspired by the lives and experiences of her mother and father, respectively, during World War II. Her parents were both immigrants and met after the war in Columbus, Ohio.
Kass is a native of Columbus and a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and has an MA degree in Journalism from The Ohio State University.
Videoconference information will be provided in an email once registration is complete.
