Nancy Sindelar, a Chicago Chapter member, will present “The People and Places that influenced Ernest Hemingway.” In this presentation you will meet the people and learn about the places and activities that shaped the legendary author. Nancy’s talk will include rarely seen photos and excerpts from Hemingway’s personal letters.
Light refreshments will be served.
The fee for this event is $20, includes a paperback copy of Influencing Hemingway, and must be paid upon registration. If you cancel before the cancellation deadline, the fee will be refunded to your account. However, if you cancel after the cancellation deadline, or fail to attend the event without cancelling for any reason, the fee will be forfeited and WILL NOT BE REFUNDED.

Nancy W. Sindelar, Ph.D., is the author of
Influencing Hemingway: The People and Places
That Shaped His Life and Work, and
Hemingway’s Passions: His Women, His Wars, His Writing, and is a popular presenter on the life and work of Ernest Hemingway. She has made multiple presentations at the International Colloquium Ernest Hemingway in Havana, Cuba; the American Literature Association Conferences in Washington, DC, Boston, and San Francisco; the Hemingway Society Conferences in Venice, Italy, Paris, France, and San Sebastien, Spain as well as Oak Park, Illinois, and Sheridan, Wyoming; and keynoted the Hemingway Festivals in Sun Valley, Idaho.
Nancy is a board member of the Ernest Hemingway Foundation of Oak Park and teaches “Hemingway’s Women” at the University of California, Riverside and the Newberry Library, Chicago.
