Take advantage of this incredible opportunity to join a virtual tour of the Philadelphia Museum of Art's powerful and timely exhibition "The Time is Always Now: Artists Reframe the Black Figure", led by the esteemed Dr. John Immerwahr.
John is a retired Emeritus Professor of Philosophy at Villanova University
who is now a guide (docent) at the PMA, as well as the Rodin Museum. He has made many short videos about the amazing art at PMA.
John said of this exhibition: "This show is perfect for an organization concerned with social justice. The artists here are among the most prominent Black artists of today and every painting in the show speaks — in one way of another — to issues of justice. They are almost all breathtakingly beautiful. Also, none of these are those abstract conceptual pieces that make you scratch your head." Please note that on January 17th, we will be organizing a group visit to the PMA to view the exhibit in person. Whether you can see the exhibit in person or not, you will not want to miss Dr. Immerwahr's illumining commentary. The exhibit at the PMA closes on February 9, 2025.
Registrants will receive the Zoom link a week prior and again on the day of the program. Please note that cancellations with refunds are accepted through January 13, 2025.

Cancellation Policy:
If you are a member and cancel your registration before the specified deadline, you will receive a full refund as a credit to your account. You can use the credit to pay for another event or put it toward your annual dues payment. Non-members will receive a refund on their credit card, minus a $4 processing fee.
