About this event
Grounded in 30 years of research showing its efficacy, Kita Mehaffy will share some of the basic tenets of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) including how and why it works. We will do a simple, fun exercise together to illustrate the innate capacity we all have to focus mindfully, followed by a short meditation. We'll end with a brief discussion of what you may have learned during the course of the presentation and answer any questions that may have arisen. (Please don't be anxious about meditating together! There is no such thing as meditating "right," but there is the opportunity to begin making friends with our own mind.)
Open to members and non-members.
Bring a friend!

She has taught Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) for several years through her business,The Mindfulness Classes. Her goal is to share the sense of clarity, resilience and calm that MBSR can offer through times of overwhelm and anxiety.
