The Giving Circle's focus area for 2025 is Juvenile Justice.  In order to educate us all on this important topic, our program committee is offering two educational programs.  The first one is entitled Understanding the Philadelphia Juvenile Justice System and will held on Wednesday, January 29th.

This program will give both Giving Circle and Women’s Connection members a better understanding of how the system affects children between ages 10 and 18 and how it differs from the adult justice system. Even the shortest interaction with law enforcement can have a detrimental impact on a child’s mental and physical well-being and can negatively affect the trajectory of a child’s life. Learn more about the juvenile justice system, and what is being done by our elected leaders and community partners to reform the system.

All Giving Circle donors are encouraged to attend both programs so that they can be better informed about the juvenile justice system and those nonprofit organizations that are trying to help young people who have interacted with the system.  To register for the event, click below.  Attendance is free.
