About this event
After a noon lunch at a nearby restaurant, we will head over to the Trolley Museum.
Experience local history riding a streetcar on a woodland track stretching one mile in Northwest Branch Park; take a guided tour of Streetcar Hall (car barn); and view presentations and exhibits at the Visitors Center. We’ll see what the land was like before streetcars and how communities sprung up along the streetcar lines, making commuting to jobs, shopping, or a vacation stop at Glen Echo possible. In the DC area, streetcars ran for nearly a century, starting with horse-drawn streetcars in July 1862 until the end of service in January 1962.
Admission: $12, $10 for seniors
