Sandra KHorn, member of Central Ohio Women's Connection, met Sergeant Mike Powell when she was teaching at the high school level. Sgt. Powell was a member of the Franklin County Sheriff's Department Street Smart.
After attending several of Powell's presentations and inviting him to be interviewed by her Broadcast news students, Sandra asked him if she could interview him for a book now called Undercover: Becoming Street Smart in Central Ohio. It is a biography of Powell and his partner Shawn Bain and their work making Ohio a safer place.
