Crafts Group

General Information

The purpose of this group is to connect women who enjoy doing arts and crafts and chatting socially! There is no commitment to attend each time.

If you are interested in either virtual or in person crafting, add yourself to the group and you will receive reminders of upcoming gatherings which include either the date and time and either a zoom link or the address. Ignore any reminders that don't interest you. After you are logged in to our website, click here to add yourself.

Event Information

Our Craft SIG has expanded its options. Members are hosting both in person and winter virtual get togethers. Members of the group can be interested in either option or both.

In Person Meetings

The group is meeting at Darn Knit Anyway shop (423 S Main St Suite 423b) in Stillwater on Monday, April 14. That offering will continue on a monthly basis on the second Monday of the month from 10:30 AM-Noon in that location. There is no need to sign up in advance. Contact Judy if you have any questions.

In the future, the group might check out other locations or meet outside in the summer months.

Virtual Meetings

This group started during the pandemic as a way to chat with other women while enjoying one's own crafts. Since most women are comfortable getting together in person, the virtual meetings are only during the winter months (Jan, Feb, Mar) when driving might be a challenge. The virtual meeting continues to be held on the fourth Monday of the month, but the meeting time is being changed to 10:30 AM-Noon. If you have joined the group per the instructions above, you will receive the zoom link via email a couple days before the scheduled gathering.

The group met on Monday, March 24 via zoom. There will be no virtual meetings for the summer months. We can make a winter plan in the fall.

Ad Hoc Gatherings

Do you want to check out a new craft shop or introduce others to your favorite craft shop? Are you aware of a crafting event a group of women might want to attend together? Use the group function to send an email to the women of our chapter who are interested in crafting. They can reply to your email and a few women could enjoy exploring together and getting to know others while crafting. If you get such an email and are not interested, just hit delete.
