Transition Peer Groups (TPGs)

Transition peer groups (TPGs) are informal, shared leadership groups composed of 8-12 members who meet on a monthly basis to engage in informal discussions. These groups provide opportunities for connection, new friendships and mutually supportive exploration. The intention of these groups is for women to share and learn from each other, and while the groups are meant to create a supportive environment, they are neither support groups nor therapy groups and cannot substitute for professional help when a member may confront a personal life crisis and need special assistance.

Groups generate topics of mutual interest and relevance to their current lives. Discussion topics range from those that are light-hearted and fun to others that help members to define and think through their futures. Each group works to find a comfortable way to select topics and share the responsibilities that make a shared leadership group run smoothly.

The MSP chapter currently has two TPGs.  All MSP members are welcome to join either of them. Please click on pictures below for more information on each group and contact information.

In the summer of 2024, we are exploring a possible new TPG focused on women who have recently or planning to retire soon. Check out more information and indicate you might want to check it out by clicking on this picture:

If you have general questions about TPGs or ideas/questions about convening a new TPG, please contact us.
