CHI (V) - SIG North Shore Movie Lovers. Watch "Women Talking" and discuss!

One of this year’s Best Picture nominees list, director Sarah Polley’s "Women Talking" is based on the true story of a Mennonite colony in Bolivia. The film follows eight main characters who gather in a hay loft to discuss what to do next when they discover horrific acts inflicted on them: Do they flee the only world they’ve ever known? Do they remain in danger to fight against their husbands and brothers? Or do they ignore the situation, and try to forgive and forget? (ELLE) It has a 88% rating from Rotten Tomatoes.

NOTE: Because this is a very recent film, it is only in theaters at the time of this posting, each person must see the film on their own. Then join us for a lively discussion via zoom. Since the film’s production company, Orion Pictures, is owned by Amazon, there’s at least a chance Prime Video will end up streaming the film in the coming weeks.

Some current members sign up by emailing Judy, so feel free to join this group directly. If you registered here you'll will also be contacted with all relevant information.

North Shore Movie Lovers is a special interest group of TTN members who love movies and love to talk about them! We meet monthly via zoom, after we have watched a selected movie. Most movies are available on Netflix or another streaming service. Once you register you will be sent a zoom link in advance of our online gathering. It's fun. It's free. And it's a great way to get to know TTN members in your area.
