One of this year’s Best Picture nominees list, director Sarah Polley’s "Women Talking" is based on the true story of a Mennonite colony in Bolivia. The film follows eight main characters who gather in a hay loft to discuss what to do next when they discover horrific acts inflicted on them: Do they flee the only world they’ve ever known? Do they remain in danger to fight against their husbands and brothers? Or do they ignore the situation, and try to forgive and forget? (ELLE) It has a 88% rating from Rotten Tomatoes.
