NNJ (P) Great Swamp Guided Walk

Great Swamp Guided Walk
Morris County, NJ
Tuesday, May 9

11:00 am
Join us for a guided walk through the Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge, a 12-square-mile oasis that is an outstanding area for migrating waterfowl to stop, rest and feed on their migration. Fox, deer, muskrat, frogs, and fish also call the refuge home. We had to cancel our originally scheduled walk in October due to inclement weather but May should be a great time to see birds and animals. Bring your cameras! To learn more about the fascinating history of the Great Swamp, watch this 26-minute PBS documentary:
https://www.pbs.org/video/the-great-swamp-mhlze2/.

We will meet at the  Wildlife Observation Center, 220 Long Hill Road, Harding Township,NJ, then take a guided walk with a docent. The tour will occur even if it rains a bit, but will be cancelled, potentially at the last minute, if there are thunderstorms. So please check the weather, dress accordingly, and refunds will be issued if we must cancel. After our tour we can visit the Tourist Center.

Optional: After the walk, join us for lunch at The Grain House in Basking Ridge. Bring cash to split the bill!
