The approximate one-hour guided tour will meet at the entrance of the Strathmore Music Center where we will go over some of the history of the property. Our tour will begin in the Education Center where we will see some partner organizations and their operating spaces. From there we will pass by the administrative offices and make our way backstage to end up on the stage if it is available. If the hall is in use or the stage is set, we will enter through the audience, and you will get a short presentation about the construction of the hall and the many features it holds. After we see the hall, we’ll go through the other spaces outside of the hall: namely, the North Lobby and Pavilion before making our way back to the front of the building. During the tour we will be using elevators for the most part to help keep the tour accessible to those who cannot traverse stairs as easily.
Following the visit, we can walk or drive the short distance to the nearby restaurant, Java Nation. You can view the menu at www.javanation.com.
Attendees are responsible for the cost of their lunch.
