DC (P) Renwick Invitational - Museum Arts SIG (noon ET)

This is a Museum Arts Special Interest Group (SIG) event.  SIGs are a member benefit.  You must login to Register.
The Renwick Invitational is back!  Sharing Honors and Burdens: Renwick Invitational 2023 focuses on fresh and nuanced visions by six Native American or Alaska Native artists who express the honors and burdens that connect people to one another. The 55 artworks in the exhibition arise from traditions of making that honor family, community or clan, and require broad community participation. Six artists address the present moment by evoking historical practices and potential futures, communicating across cultural boundaries.

We'll meet in the Renwick lobby at noon.  The Renwick is located at on Pennsylvania Ave. at 17th St NW.  Farragut North or West are the closest Metro stations.

If there is time before heading to lunch, we can also check out the ongoing exhibit, Contemporary Craft, selections from the permanent collection.

Around 1:15, we'll head to GCDC Grilled Cheese Bar for an indulgent lunch.  If you don't feel quite so indulgent they also offer tomato soup or a salad.  You can see the menu here.

Hosted by Francine Amaral.
