"Wine is Bottled Poetry"
~ Robert Louis Stevenson
Understanding a wine menu, knowing how food affects wine, and identifying your taste preferences can give you the confidence to order that perfect glass or bottle of wine at dinner without breaking your budget!
But sometimes a wine menu can be daunting, especially if you are with a group, or when a favorite wine isn’t on the menu! Having the basic knowledge of what type of wine you prefer and WHY, combined with understanding how food can affect the taste of wine, can change the experience from stress to fun!
Join Zena Kaufman in an informative and playful evening of exploring wine and wine menus. You will leave more knowledgeable and able to converse more easily in the language of wine. We will taste several wines with different characteristics and price points, along with basic food tastes: sweet, sour, salty.
Our Presenter: Zena Kaufman
Zena, a TTN member, was always passionate about wine. She has studied through Napa Valley Wine Academy for the WSET (Wine Spirit Education Trust) Level 2 and Level 3, as well as courses in Oregon, Southern Rhône and Napa Valley wine regions.
