SFE (P)– April Program: Walking the Camino (5:45 – 7:30 pm MT)
About this event
The Camino is an ancient pilgrimage road across northern Spain spanning 510 miles from the Pyrenees to the Atlantic. No longer only a path for Christian pilgrims, it is now a UNESCO World Heritage Trail walked by almost 3,000 yearly!
Petra Wolf first walked the Camino in 2003 and recently walked it again. Ruth Dobbins had not walked the Camino before. Both will present a slide show reflecting their experience. With pictures, videos, music and words, Petra and Ruth will give you a feel of the daily life and spirit of this walk. They will also share the inside story of how the Camino has changed after 20 years and how amazing the Camino Frances still is!
Open to TTN members and non-members. Bring a friend!
Petra Wolf walked the Camino again after 20 years. This time she considered it a gratitude walk for all the gifts she received from her first Camino—including her husband! Petra has walked from Germany to Rome, across American and onward to Jerusalem.
Ruth Dobbins walked the Camino for the first time to mark her 70th birthday after surviving breast cancer, to close the chapter of grief over the loss of her husband, and to see where the next life chapter would take her.
